5th Grade Conservation Field Days In April each year, the Brown Soil and Water Conservation District conducted its annual Conservation Field Day at the property of Brown County Rural Water on State Route 52. More than 200 students representing Georgetown, Russellville, Sardinia, and St. Michael assembled to learn about a variety of natural resources topics. These topics included wildlife, water quality, agriculture, and recycling. The annual field day would not be possible without many individuals assisting. This year we would like to especially thank Brown County Rural Water for hosting our event on their grounds. We also recognize the following organizations for their support and dedication: White Oak Creek Watershed Partners, Ohio Division of Wildlife, Ohio State University Extension, Adams Brown Recycling, Brown County 4-H, Adams SWCD, and Highland SWCD.
Upper Picture: Melody Dragoo, White Oak Creek Watershed Coordinator, shows students the detrimental impacts humans can have on Brown County creeks.
