Mission Statement:

The mission of the Brown Soil & Water Conservation District is to provide the leadership in promoting and protecting the integrity of Brown County's soil, water and other natural resources through technical assistance and education.

Creek Critters and Fun Facts

White Oak Creek is a fantastic place to explore.  There are many different types of living organisms that inhabit the stream and its adjacent areas.  If you are looking for a classroom event, programs for adult or youth organization or just an informational steam walk please contact the Soil & Water Office and they will help you set something up.  The Watershed Group is a dedicated group of individuals that truly care about keep White Oak Creek an exceptional area for wildlife and humans.  Everyone should be concerned about their local stream and work to keep it healthy.  Streams not only move water, they are homes to many, many interesting organisms and streams also are a large source of human drinking water.  Look below to see what kinds of different living creatures live in our around White Oak Creek!
