Mission Statement:

The mission of the Brown Soil & Water Conservation District is to provide the leadership in promoting and protecting the integrity of Brown County's soil, water and other natural resources through technical assistance and education.

HABITAT IMPROVEMENT

 

Many options are available to people interested in altering their yard or property to attract a variety of wildlife.  Publications are available from the SWCD office and the following link to the Ohio Division of Wildlife website can provide a some basic information for habitat improvement.

You may also be eligible for assistance programs through the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, or the Ohio Division of Wildlife.  These will sometimes help cover the cost of making habitat improvements.
