Mission Statement:

The mission of the Brown Soil & Water Conservation District is to provide the leadership in promoting and protecting the integrity of Brown County's soil, water and other natural resources through technical assistance and education.

2008 Winner - Ryan Waterfield

Ryan is a Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington High School 2008 graduate.

 

2007 Winner - Megan Paeltz

 

The Brown Soil and Water Conservation District is pleased to announce Megan Paeltz of Eastern Brown High School as the winner of the $500 2007 Conservation Education Scholarship.  Megan is the daughter of Julian Paeltz of Ash Ridge and Denise Simpson of Decatur.  Megan’s future plans include attending Shawnee State University to major in Biology. 

Each applicant was asked to ‘Describe a conservation experience from your past and the impact it made on your life’.  Please enjoy reading Megan’s essay entitled Don’t Leave the Water Running.
