Drainage and Erosion:
The District offers free site evaluations and technical assistance to help landowners and homeowners address drainage and erosion challenges.
Pond Assistance:
SWCD staff offer site visits to assess the feasibility of new pond construction and address issues with existing ponds in Brown County. These services are provided free of charge and can be scheduled by contacting the office to request an appointment.
Urban:
The Brown SWCD is responsible for educating land users on effective stormwater management practices at construction sites. Through the Brown County subdivision regulations process, land users are provided with site-specific soil information, guidelines for complying with Brown County’s sediment and erosion control plan, and details about the Ohio EPA’s permitting requirements for projects disturbing one (1) acre or more of land.
